Hi I recently had the battery light come on I couldnt find a manual for a 2004 Expedition so I used my maual for a 97 F150 to truoble shoot. The votage was ok on the battery but when the suv was running the voltage was low, on that model the voltage regulator is internal so I replaced the alternator when I test run it I had 14 volts and all seems well but the battery light is still on. I have a OBD2 and it shows no errors I hit reset any ways but the light stays on. is there some other rest I dont know abought. Hope to see the manual for this model soon Thanks RR.

Did you charge your battery? If your alternator was draining the battery and the gets low. The new alternator may not be able to bring up the voltage on the battery, and could cause damage to the new alternator. I would test the battery and see if the voltage and cranking amps are OK. CARQUEST will be able to do this at no charge.

Hello River runt: Check the simple things such as grounds and connections. Test the battery--crank the engine and if the battery voltage drops below 10 volts, the battery is no good.
