How come there is no 99 Mercury Cougar Manual???

I am very much a novice at all of this.
Even if there were a manual for the car, would it show me how to fix the entire exhaust system???
I am a good learner...but I need help.
If Haynes doesn't make the manual...is there any other resource out there??

Hi Julie,

Those Cougars are nice cars, but unfortunately there weren't enough of them made for us to justify doing a manual on them.

You can get Ford factory service information, though. Go to www.helminc.com - you can get a 72-hour service information subscription for $9.95, or a printed service manual for $130.00.

What exactly is wrong with your "entire" exhaust system? Is it a problem with the pipes and muffler? If so, it would probably be more economical to take it to a muffler shop than to try to obtain original equipment parts that you could just bolt on. So do your homework first, before you jump in with both feet!
