Check this story out. A few years ago I owned a '97 Dodge Ram 1500. It was only 2WD but the 5.9L made up for that in the sand. I aired down to basically flat when I hit the soft stuff and durbed around with some buddies. Ofcourse the "show-off" factor kicked in and I decided to jump my Ram. Keep in mind that I only had a 3 inch lift that you could hardly call a lift because all I had was extended fabtech springs in the front and blocks in the back (Ghetto). I started towards the lip at about 35mph and my 2 buddies sitting next to me were crappin their pants. The lip was so steep that I bottomed out at take off but still managed to get all 4 wheels well off the ground. We hit so hard that I thought I folded my frame and sand came flying in the windows and through the air vents because I stupidly had them on. After that trip my Ram never drove the same and spit sand out everytime I turned on the air. I had to tell people to close their eyes when I turned on the AC.
Was it worth it...Damn Right!
