I am having an extremely difficult time identifying why the high mount brake lamp is not lighting. The Haynes manual includes a diagram for the exterior lighting system which appears to be incomplete :(. The diagram shows a single wire feeding from the brake switch to all three rear brake lights. If this is accurate, how could a wiring or other electrical problem not affect all three lights? I have verified the problem is not with the lamps. A multimeter shows no voltage running through the high mount lamp harnesses.
I'd appreciate any pointers on where to turn for more information. I probably need a more detailed diagram of the exterior lighting system. Any ideas?
I have one final comment in case anyone cares enough to help me out. Removing fuse 7 (the fuse for the brake lighting system) successfully keeps the right brake light from lighting, but not the left one. How could this be???
Thanks in advance,
George
